We had the best time on our little adventure to Knott’s Berry Farm this week!  We had never been to Knott’s but man everyone I know who has ever been there has the best memories.  So, we were excited to make our own.

This adventure was just the kids and I over a Wednesday – Friday and I knew that I wanted to make the most out of our time there so we decided to stay at the Knott’s Berry Farm hotel adjacent to the park.  The staff was great and while it is a tad outdated it did have a huge pool along with a splash pad and basketball courts too!

They offer standard rooms and a variety of packages and after doing a bit of research and decided that the best option for us was their Classic Package. It included two nights in a double room + one day at the park for each of us and was $389 + tax.  This included parking and wi-fi too! Rates do vary based on your preferred dates.  They also offer Camp Snoopy rooms where snoopy comes and tucks you in!  We didn’t want to have to worry about being back at the room for this so didn’t choose this one.

WEDNESDAY

We arrived Wednesday afternoon and made arrangements to take their free shuttle to Downtown Disney at 5pm.  The kids swam for a bit and then we were on our way.  Downtown Disney was fun! We don’t have passes for Disney yet so it gave us a little of the magic to hold us over.  The kids talked me into another Build a Bear.  They had Eevee so Abby was stoked!  We ate, hopped back onto the shuttle at 7:20pm and the kids swam until almost 10pm!

THURSDAY

We were up and at em early and got down to the restaurant around 8:30am.  Snoopy makes a visit around 9:00am which was a great touch.  We got to the gates at 9:30am (30 minutes before scheduled opening)  and saw everyone with the hand over their heart, facing the flag and singing the Star Spangled Banner.  (so cool!)  They let us in and we got to ride the Ghost Rider (their huge wooden coaster) twice with no line which is awesome because that line was almost 2 hours the rest of the day.

All of the other rides had short lines and we never waited more than 15 minutes.  Jake just hit 48″ so we could ride all but a few which made it extra memorable!  We ended up staying from open to close!

The Ghost Town Alive performers were awesome! The kids loved taking part in the towns day including the escapades of the Mayfield family, trials, bank robberies and playing cards with the sheriff!  There was even a hoedown toward the end with everyone dancing, some Calico soda and fun!

I was so happy that our hotel was a 3 minute walk away because we were wiped out!

FRIDAY

We slept in and played out ipads for an hour before checking out and getting on the road.  My friend Leslie suggested that we stop at Farrell’s Ice Cream parlor in Brea on our way home and it as so fun!!

// Do you know what made my trip significantly less stressful?  My new LUG Puddle Jumper bag.  This overnight/gym bag is just what I needed in my life.  The padded straps and waterproof material made it perfect for this day at the park and there are so many pockets.  All of our stuff had a home and I didn’t have to dig for my wallet, phone, camera, hotel room key, sunscreen once this trip.   This is my new go-to bag.  It’s so perfect for us moms that are well beyond the Diaper Bag stage but need something equally as functional and way cuter!
