So, we are now off-roaders and of course go to off road bars! Why? Because Matt finally got a JEEP!
I always laugh at us and think that we are much like chameleons. We can assimilate anywhere and can be just as happy at an off road dirtbike bar as at the Four Seasons. We live for the experiences and I find myself most happy when exploring new places!
Back to the Jeep! The last couple of weekend we have taken the top off and just driven to somewhere cool. Last weekend we popped up to Barstow to participate in Relay For Life and then took the long way home. After holding my breath for an hour while Matt went over peaks and straight up valleys I was ready for a cold beer or two. Some of Matt’s coworkers told him about a hidden gem called Slash X located on Highway 247 between Barstow and Lucerne Valley and he knew that I would love it.
And I did!
We rolled up to tons of dirt bikes and ORVs parked out front. The place had so much character from the ball caps on the ceiling to the collection of vintage pedal cars! The outdoors was so cool! Horseshoes, a rope swing for the kids, tractors and basically a million cool things to look at. The kids had a ball. We ate a great lunch. I had a cold beer and we hopped back on the road. I can’t wait to go back!
