DIY Feather Headband

Sometimes the perfect accessories just fall into your lap.  Other times you have to create your own magic.  Last month I had the pleasure of photographing some great new tank dresses and shorts for Kids Fly Too.  Abby stayed behind the camera for this one.  Actually way way behind the camera as she proceeded to take pictures of my butt with her iPad the entire time I shot more of these.  She thought that she was so so funny!  Anyway… our neighbor friends Chloe and Maddie made their modeling debut and were a perfect fit for these fun and fresh styles!  With their adorable fine hair styled in little biggies I needed just a little extra to pull it all together.

Enter Target.

Does Target ever disappoint?  I swear that if you walk around long enough you are bound to have that ‘a-ha’ moment.  Enter the craft aisle and these $3.99 feathers.  Now all I had to grab some hard and elastic headbands.  I wasn’t sure which ones would be better so I grabbed both kids.  In the end they both worked! The hard on on little Maddie and the elastic one over the forehead of big sister Chloe.

How to make these:

Step 1:  But headbands and feathers.

Step 2: Hot glue feathers to headbands.

The end.

This is a great last minute project for photoshoots or just a little extra for the dress up drawer!  How cute are these girls?  Clothes courtesy of Kids Fly Too.
