There is one thing that almost everyone can agree on.  Dr. Seuss is pretty dang awesome.  Kicking off with Dr Seuss’ birthday and continuing all week with the Read Across America campaign,  generations can come together to remember these classic books!  The preschools and grade schools have planned so many great activities for the kids and reminding us that reading is fun!

We have had silly sock days, crazy stripes, pajamas and today Abby got to dress as her favorite Dr Seuss character.  We choose Cindy Lou Who and threw an adorable little outfit today! She was so proud! {caplet: Moxie & Mabel – dress: Olive Juice – socks: Gymboree – shoes: Elephantito)

I wish that I would have taken some photos of how we did her hair but it was crazy easy using a bun donut thingy.  ::in a nutshell.::  We left out a small piece for each braid and the front part and then  made a big high ponytail on top of her head.  Then we used a donut to make a bun leaving out about half of it in the center. I pulled that extra hair through the middle and use a thick ponytail holder to gather it to stick up.  Then I braided the sides and tucked the braids in to the bun with a pin.  I sprayed the front and used a ponytail holder to secure it to the top of the hair sticking out of the bun. Then I covered that with the red bow.  I also but a big 6″ bow at the base of the bun to help hide it a bit!  I hope that makes sense!

Here are a couple quick iPhone shots! Of course I pull out my camera to take some great pictures of this and my battery is dead.
