CONGRATS to Rachel Padilla!

Last week, in the fabulous New York City, the 2015 Product of the Year awards were held!  #POYUSA2015.  Product of the Year is the largest consumer-voted award for product innovation in the world and is the culmination of over 40,000 consumers votes nationwide.  What is awesome about this program is that the winners are picked by real people just like us.  The purpose is to guide consumers to the best products in the market and reward manufacturers for quality and innovation.

I am a little jealous that I am stuck in the midwest and didn’t get to attend this fabulous even hosted by Jill Martin and Jenna Bush Hager but they were kind enough to send us a big old box of 30 winning products!  These products fall into many different categories including beauty/skincare, household/laundry, food/gluten free, kids products, home décor and DIY, pet care, and oral health and most are items that the average household uses on a daily basis.

And I have to say that (in my almost 5 years of doing this) I have never seen my family so excited for a box to arrive.  I wasn’t really expecting anything when UPS dropped it off so Matt actually answered the door.  Then when I opened it I was excited to see so many new goodies to try and was calling out to my people to come and dig through it with me.  Within a minute Matt, the kids and even our pets were all digging into it and staking their claim on the items.  Abby went straight for the Snackeez snack cup and a week later she is still obsessed with it’s double life as both a snack bowl and a water bottle.   She also said that the Butterfingers and the Werthers’s popcorn was amazing.  I wouldn’t know because nobody would share with poor mommy.  Jake sat shocked for a minute and then dug out the Goodnites TruFit underwear which we both really like.  He says pull ups are for babies but keeps wetting the bed so this is a perfect compromise.  Matt snagged the Gold Bond Cream, the shower gel and paint.  And because they know the way to my heart left me with some Tide, maxi pads and paper towels.  Oh, and an adult diaper.  They really love me a lot.

We have been loving having the chance to try out some new products and have been very happy with everything so far!  You can view all of the winners here.
