So, Amazon quietly rolled out their new Amazon Prime Music program and I am seriously digging it.  Best part is that it is totally FREE for Prime members.

I love my music.  I hate managing it on my devices. This is why I am so happy right now!  And you can manage it via the free app or the regular Amazon website.  It’s all linked to your Amazon account so you can use it on any of your devices or your computer.

What makes Amazon music different?

Unlike Pandora, you can search for songs by artist or song title and actually listen to that song.  The majority I have found are marked as PRIME which means that you can listen to them right there or add them to your library.  I shuffled all available James Taylor songs through my bluetooth speakers for an afternoon of entertainment.  There are over a million free songs on there.

The playlists.  They have hundreds of Prime Playlists set up for free.  I ran to the Classic Rock for Runners one yesterday.  Seriously, it kicked off with The Boss singing Born to Run.  #winning.  You can search these by theme, mood, genre, artist, etc or create your own.

You can build your library with the free songs and can also import your iTunes library.  Also, any music purchase that you make is managed and stored here as well.  Seriously a one stop shop!  Anything that says Prime is free.  Either to stream right there or to save to your cloud or device for later playback.

No ads.  At all.

It has never been so easy to manage my music and find exactly what I want to hear right then and there.  Kind of like the love child of Pandora and  iTunes.  But free, without ads and not a huge pain in the butt.

Here are some screenshots of what I am talking about above.

So, quick poll.

Who has Amazon Prime?  Who has tried Amazon Music?  What do you think?  I love Amazon Instant Video too!  I bought my Prime for the free 2 day shipping but at this point that is just the icing on the cake to these other services.  PS.  I adore my new Amazon Fire TV.  I have it set up in the playroom and it’s so perfect for managing our movies and commercial free tv programs!  Comment below on on this Facebook post.
