A beautiful dress.

So. you guys might have seen me post this picture on Instagram last week.  Abby’s end of year preschool book was look deeper into her mind and made me laugh and cry.  And by laugh, I mean seriously laugh.  Like when she said that her and Daddy’s favorite thing to do together was go shopping.  And cry like only a mom would when I saw her beautifully illustrated rainbow popcorn.  I smiled when I saw her write out her favorite thing to wear:

a dress  – a beautiful dress.

So, flash forward to today.  We are out shopping at our local Park Place shopping center and as we stroll past Sweetpea and Company she sees a rack of dresses on sale.   I gravitate towards the Persnickety.  She falls in love on her own terms.  She finds a dress that she can’t live without.  I ask her where she will wear it and she says “probably to an awesome party or something.” How could I say no? Ehhh whatever.  It was on sale for like $28 (reg $60) and I am a sucker for her smile.  She said that it was the most beautiful dress that she has ever seen.

She is so proud of it.  She brought it home and hung it up.  Then took it down and asked for a photoshoot.  She did her own poses.  It was pretty awesome and had me literally grinning ear to ear.  She was beaming and I was glowing.  And we came out of it with a beautiful photo and a lovely message to talk about.

Sometimes you just have to say yes to the dress.  These little girls are only five once.

  1. Beautiful…So who is the designer and is there a name of the dress? Also what size does she wear in this dress? Thx!

    1. Thanks Jenna! The brand says BLOSSOM – Made in the USA. And it’s a 5. I tried to google the brand and saw the brand being sold on some sites as flower girl and first communion special occasion dresses. 🙂

  2. Thanks so much! Is there a style number, and what is the material? Thanks for answering my questions!

  3. Wow that’s awful nice of you thanks! I found it online but saying two colors Ivory or white and the same for the sash and flower colors..What do you think the Ivory right? Thanks again!
